Enjoy sensory play at the Library!
Who: This program is geared towards ages 0-2, but older siblings are always welcome to participate.
What: Socialize with other infants and families while engaging in safe messy play and sensory activities.
When: Wednesdays from 2:15-3:00 p.m.
Where: Sylvan Lake Municipal Library program room
Why: From birth and throughout early childhood, children use their senses to explore and make sense of the world around them. Sensory play is vital for babies, helping to build nerve connections in the brain to help them understand the world, while supporting physical and cognitive growth. Sensory play supports language development, gross and fine motor development, social interaction, and problem-solving skills, while introducing children and parents to new experiences.
