Guiding Principles

1

Express Creativity

Goal: Patrons will have access to the services, support, and materials they need to enhance their leisure time and express themselves by creating and enjoying original print, video, audio, or visual content in both real-world and virtual environments.

2

Create Young Readers

Goal: Children from birth to age 5 will benefit from programs and services designed to ensure they enter school ready to learn, write, and listen.

3

Know Your Community

Goal: Patrons will have a central source for information about the wide variety of programs, services, and activities provided by community agencies and organizations.

4

Visit a Comfortable Place

Goal: Patrons will enjoy safe and welcoming physical spaces to meet and interact with others or to sit quietly and read, as well as open and accessible virtual spaces that support networking.
