About the Event
Want to explore S.T.E.M. activities with your children? Join us at the Library for Family S.T.E.M., and expansion of our S.T.E.M. Explorers afterschool program.
Who: This program is for families with children aged 3-18. While our afterschool S.T.E.M. Explorers is for ages 8+, this program allows younger children to enjoy S.T.E.M. activities with their siblings and parents, in a fun and safe environment.
What: This program will feature science, technology, engineering, and math challenges appropriate for a variety of ages. Activities will require active participation from parents and caregivers.
When: Second Thursday of the month, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Where: Sylvan Lake Municipal Library program room
Why: Introducing children to S.T.E.M. helps them to discover real-world applications, spark their creativity, and develop 21st-century skills including media and technology literacy, productivity, social skills, communication, flexibility, and initiative. Plus - it's just fun!
