Aid Homebound Patrons: Deliver books and resources to those who can’t visit the library in person. Your visits bring joy and connection to our homebound community members.

Manage Our Little Free Pantry: Help us stock and organize our pantry to support those in need. A small act of kindness can go a long way!

Join the Library Board
Shape the Future of Your Library
Are you passionate about reading, community, and leadership? The Town of Sylvan Lake Library Board is looking for dedicated volunteers to help guide the future of our library.
​
Time Commitment:
2–3 hours per month. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month (excluding December, July, and August).

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Visionary – Help set the library’s long-term goals.

Funding Champion – Support efforts to secure funding.

Financial Guardian – Oversee library finances and ensure transparency.

Policy Creator – Develop and review library policies and bylaws.

Leadership Evaluator – Hire and evaluate the Library Director.

Legislation Compliant – Stay informed on relevant laws and regulations.

Advocacy Superstar – Promote the library’s value in the community.

Community Connector – Build partnerships with local organizations.
